How Far Does the Muscle Travel?

If our objective is building muscle, shouldn't it be that the muscle should work maximally at every segmental inch or sometimes I even say every segmental centimeter or millimeter? The actual range that the muscle shortens and lengthens is incredibly small. If you watch your pec contract from its fully lengthened to its fully shortened position, it's probably two to three inches in range total actual pec contraction. So we want to get good at basics first and then start building that circle of comfort concentrically out.
