The Cost of Discipleship
Bonhoeffer was ministering to survivors of World War I in Germany at a pivotal moment. He becomes famous for resisting Nazis, saying what they are doing is wrong. When he leaves after rejecting the oath to Hitler, there's only one thing left for someone who comes back. Bonhoeffer goes along with them, tries to help them in the assassination plot. It goes poorly and that's how he ends up in there dying.
