alix did a really good job of capturing where he was at the time that's what great records are all about being able to capture where you are at the moment and that's so true like alix chilton was trying to photograph his mental state almost right through music. kept things focused he held it together there were times when alix would do things that were unconventional at the time it would have turned off most of the producers out there but jim could see the merit in these things. i didn't really appreciate what was going on i liked the songs but i couldn't understand what alix was doing in retrospect  i love it so much it is a sad song world, says
