The Problem With Liberation Theology

Pope John Paul II was very much motivated by the lies that he would have called the lives of the culture of death. Marxism was certainly high atop his list, especially since Marxism had so greatly influenced and tortured him and his people. So I think he spoke very persuasively against those sort of currents of Marxism in the church because after all, he grew up behind the iron curtain.
