There's nothing inherently wrong with herbal medicine, but the romanticization of these things over empirical medical science is dangerous. People need to understand that diet is great for general health, but it can't prevent everything and it can't cure. Meditation is great, but it's not magic. There are no chakras. You're not aligning anything or purifying anything with herbs. Anything of medicinal value from an herb can and has been isolated and purified and put into a pill. And it has precisely the same therapeutic effect. The plant itself is not magic.
