Van Jones: What we are seeing is an epidemic, a mortality epidemic as it relates to the maternal experiences of black people. Black women are three times more likely to die of preventable, and that is the operative word, "negative outcomes" Dr. Geronamis coined the term weathering, which is the experience of constantly accounting racism through structural impacts or just daily interactions in our bodies.
