Is Japan a Better Place to Live Than It Was Ten Years Ago?
The country has a, until recently with the energy problems, they've had a persistent current account surplus. And so there's generally been, until very recently, no no shortage or price spikes of of key commodities that are more likely to drive inflation. The government has increased their money supply by, again, until recentlyof somthingie, five % per year on average. But then you had like two % per year reduction from corporate and household dlaveraging. So the net result was, actualy, japan had one of the slowest broad money supply growth in the world over the past a ten, 20 years.
