The Bachelor's Race Easier Than You Think

The bachelor franchise was criticised for its lack of diversity when it came to the show's contestants. In 20 12, two black men actually sued the bachelor for casting discrimination. The judge ultimately dismissed that case, but rather said that choosing to do so was within the production rights under the first amendment. But then, as you know, during the racial uprising in 20 20, it seems like the show decided it couldn't not talk about race a and it couldn’t not have more black people specifically on the show. This led to some really uncomfortable moments, including the show's long time host, chris harrison, stepping back from his roll for a bit.
