The Decline of Unions in the Sixties
After 19 60, the rate of union membership in the work force dipped below 25%. And different policy changes and le legislative changes did slowly start to undermine unions. Part of that decline also was because certain important political fissures opened up within the labor movement. The war helped to fuel the rise of a new counter culture beyond boundaries of labor and the unions.
