The Smithsonian's Repatriation Process Isn't Working.
The smithsonian originally estimated that the repatriation process would take about five years. Other museums are still holding on to these ans in 20 20. 30 years after those laws were passed, more than half of the native remains had not been returned. There were still more than a hundred and 15 thousand skeletons in America's closet.
