If the feelings were strong enough, they would have stayed. If your x had to move away for a job, and you broke up because you couldn't do long distance, the feelings they had for me should have prevented them from moving. Those are all very common things to feel after losing some one to any of those circumstances. You deserve support no matter what's going on. We deserve support when nothing is going on. So you a hundred % deserve it if you are in pain, after whatever length of relationship you are in.
