Story Telling Through Audio Books
For me, it's the purest form of story telling that's not on paper. There's no sound design, there's no camera position or editorial input. Most of the creativity comes out of the narrator's mind and their talent. When you read something out loud, you do make discoveries that you you don't discover on the page in the same kind of way. It takes at least forty hours to record a book for an actor who narrates.
