A Woman's Journey Through Life and Death
When i reached my early teens, some strange things started happening to my body. I grew about six inches in one year and had a prodigious amount of facial hair for a 13-year-old. It became a running joke that i was unusually tall considering the height of my parents. Despite my awkward size, menacing facial hair and unintentional cocky appearance, i was still that shy, sensitive boy who was sure of himself. My mam was the only one who cold see through it. She reassured me that things would be ok and nurtured my self confidence. What a blessing it is to have some one in the world who believes in you more than you believe in yourself.
