Persephone spent half the year with demeter and the other half with hades. Some myths say that hades tricked persephone into eating scenes. There is some debate about whether or not persephone ever truly felt at home in the underworld. Even somewhere as dark and dreary as the underworld, she appreciated the change of seasons.
