How Important Is It Really Important?
As a new manager, it's actually really hard to know what's important. Sometimes my sense of impact can be easily overridden by emotional reaction. I have to back down and trust the team. Can you express this in terms of impact or cost on the team? If you can point out maybe there's an effect on morale, maybe it makes it hard for the ICs to contribute if the manager is stepping in all the time.
