After goldman sacks, you get into private equity. The book accounts describes some pretty remarkable adventures through the 19 nineties. It was almost gungho and wild west in that private equity hadn't been institutionalized. There were very few people doing it, and it was seen as sort of something which just really wasn't understood. When we wanted to buy pubs, no, i literally almost immediately had people knocking on the door saying, you don't understand this pub. We want it back.
