I majored in psych at Stanford. If I could do it all over again, I would major in behavioral economics. But otherwise, they're just applications of the same ideas. So sports economics is almost always, at least the way I wrote it, is just applications of bigger ideas in microeconomics to the sports context. Labor economics is the same. And online dating, believe it or not, or the marriage market, that's economics. It's not just economics. psychology plays a huge role in those areas as well,. The economics of families and matching with significant others is very, very similar to a lot of other microeconomic contexts.
