Do Negotive Consequences Work?
When using negative consequences, really what you are doing is just saying, don't do that. But you're not teaching them what to do in place of that. At those times, a negative consequence needs to be plutin place. For younger tid, for older kids their self, o as as a congroen. A lot of research has the same effect on changing behavior as a bigger consequence. Once it gets too big, and parents start punishing themselves, almost a fall through can happen. So i often recommend removing screen time, or for older kids for one day or two days. It doesn't need to be an extreme negative consequence. And we'll find enough wine
