A lot of runners get in the weight room and do like four sets of 20 repetitions with a relatively low weight. We're there to improve our ability to lift heavy things, which is the very definition of strength. After each run, I love to see runners do 10 to 20 minutes of body weight strength or core work. The goal here is largely injury prevention.
