Is It a Style or a Tradition?
In archaeology, we tend to use style to determine what we are dealing with. In rockhart, it is generally used to identify ichonographies and then used as a reference for you know, a region or the type of culture that they are embedded in. Some researches started to think about the roca terms of tradition to explain the pervaillance of t material culture. And this would imply continuity. It would involve transmission, cultural transmission of the information underlying the style. The ideas, the techniques and the practices behind it. So i don't like to think about it as a type of style or a type of tradition in these terms,. Because both terms actually mean different things
