The Confessions of Hippo Regius

Hippo Regius was a bishop of Hippo in the 4th century. He died around 401 and his last book, The New Last Great Work, is about a thousand pages. It would have taken seven or eight people with wheelbarrows to carry it all away. Even in the Middle Ages, very few people had the entire city of God at one time.
