Is Patreon Membership a Good Idea?

Part of me is a little bit scared by community support. Like I like the idea of having so many people involved. But at the same time, having a lot of people invested like that who are paying makes it easier for them to be angry or upset. You know, I had an idea. Let's say we create a few pieces of content or something that goes into the Patreon before we even launch it. Then we announce it and we launch it and people sign up and we gauge based on how many people sign up. If it makes sense for us to make it a regular monthly thing or if we shut it down after 30 days, the people who paid got access to this exclusive piece
