All Models Are Wrong, but Some Are Useful
The name of your blog always makes me smile. It comes from a quote by statistician called george box who said, all models are wrong, but some are useful. We're not searching em, you know, high and low for the perfect climate model, because such a thing doesn't exist. And uncertainty is at the very heart of what you do, isn't it? It really is. Am but it's not just about the quantification, if you like, the estimation of uncertainty in the model predictions,. But having the humility to to doubt yourself when you are doing your science.
