Is the Onus of Responsibility on Society?
In environmental histor a big project is trying to determine the date in which we can say the anthropocene began, right? Not a specific date, not a specific day, but like, you know, this in this time period it began. I really kick off the omissions of c o two by looking at our consumer habits post-World War Two. Puts the onus of responsibility on society itself. But where's nature in this? Where is our new conceptual, cultural relationship to the natural world? Where does that fit into a revolution? That's where i'm kind of thinking right now.
