Is God the Cause of the Evil of Sin?

The evil of sin is properly opposed to the uncreated good itself, since it is contrary to the fulfillment of God's will. The teaching of the church and her catechism answers following scripture that original and personal sin have delirious consequences for persons and groups of people which produce these evils both physical and moral. After that first sin, the world is virtually inundated by sin. Harmony with creation is broken because of man. Creation is now subject to the bondage of decay. Finally, the consequence explicitly foretold for these disobedience will come true. Man will return to the ground. For out of it he was taken. Death makes his entrance into human history.
