"I get double tax, double property tax because I run a business from where I live," he says. "Every time that think tank here is like, what do you want us to work on? I'm like, get rid of that stupid predatory business tax and maybe some more businesses will start here." Tennessee does not have an inventory tax on property; the city of Fort Worth tried to charge him $10,000 for three directional boring machines they didn't own.
