When russia invaded ukraine back in march, there were really three key things that inform my view of how things would unfold. The first was that the world could not survive economically if you subtracted russia's oil and gas from the mix. Numer two, if the west wanted its dollar sanctions to work, it needed to keep china, in particular, but also india, up inside the tent, hissing out. And then number three, that the western sovereign deposition meant that the west's sensitivity to rising energy prices would be much greater. I think we're watching that prove true in real time.
