Who you are is not what you believe it's what you value. That means you stand for principles not policies. I think people have difficulty reconciling the example of Abraham Lincoln and his stated principle of finding slavery abhorrent. There's an inconsistency between the policy and the principal. And so is this really your principal, if your policies don't align?
