The Blazing World
The Blazing World is the work of three historians working in the here and now on this topic. They have brought new personalities into the story, as well as bringing marginal people's stories back to life. One example: a skimmington who staged a cross-dressing wedding with two male servants dressed as boys and girls. The book also includes woven issues about Puritanism - they are not necessarily driving things at Westminster but very much there.
