Adverse Childhood Experiences and Addiction

In 12 years of work, I didn't have a single female patient who had not been sexually abused as a child. For each of these childhood adverse experiences, ACEs, the risk of addiction goes up exponentially. Also for attention problems, psychosis, depression, sexual harassment,. disease, autoimmune disease, and eventually even malignancy.
