The planet is more than 50% urbanized. That's equivalent to adding a New York metropolitan area every couple of months from now to mid-century. China, which was extremely slow to urbanize, has now crossed the halfway mark and is building new cities. The stress on resources, on energy, on the social fabric is phenomenal. And we need to begin to understand that.
