The Challenges of Being a Late Developer in Rugby
I was a late developer and one of my most traumatic moments at school was when we used to stand up at the school swimming goner. You'd be standing there with all the lads in their speeders and some of the guys were fully mature, I was basically just a nine year old and a 14 year old body. It's really tough to deal with that because you think you're a boy amongst men as well. The idea that you can pick a sport before you hit that maturation point is ridiculous. But it must be a proper dilemma for a parent is kid at 13, 14 is just not worth their peers. And obviously challenging.
