A friend of mine did a project where she was, I think, $25,000 in credit card debt. She decided until she paid that off, she was going to draw her credit card statement verbatim. And it was just something so powerful. You could feel the weight of the debt through that art, like a poem. It was through the painstaking detail that she got this message across the weight of debt and consumerism.
