I think my parents were the perfect combination. My father was much more like me in terms of like everything will work out. Life is going to be your oyster, but you do have to work really hard. They both kind of instilled that in me. And it's interesting because as a child, it's funny the things that stick with you. If I got an A plus and I kind of phoned it in, well, that wasn't good enough. The point is effort, not the results.
