Nine Principles of Universal Design for Learning
There are nine principles of universal design for learning. They provide options for recruiting interests, providing options for sustaining efforts and self regulation. The UDL guidelines have checkpoints that help the teacher to see if they're actually trying to do this in their class. And again, I stress not every class, not every unit now and again.
