Most sites lacked any kind of formal and trained research stuff, certainly not the kind of stuff that you are familiar with in high income countries. We had to train some of our existing clinical personnel to double up as research staff. The psychofocial impact of COVID-19 was particularly an issue in the first six to eight months of the pandemic. This actually impacted the trial.
