The Story of Ben and the Barn Burning
The movie adds a lot more layers of kind of like unfolding that mystery and digging into whether or not Ben actually has a hobby of a serially murdering young women. It digs into that mystery a little bit more, but it still leaves it relatively ambiguous. And I think that ambiguity, how ambiguous that is, is I think apparent in the fact that you forgot about that whole plot after watching it one time.
