Hello Samantha the answer is they tried I was invited onto stage by a stage hypnotist when I was at medical school I got thrown off the stage because it blatantly wasn't working on me I wasn't playing along. When you go and watch a stage show these people are playing along this is all a trick but stage hypnosis is entertainment therapeutic hypnosis is not magic it's not doing something to your brain that we don't understand It's putting you into a state of relaxation and you retain complete control over your faculties.
