The Origins of Vlad the Impaler

This chapter discusses the origins of the stories about Vlad Tepes, also known as Dracula, and how a series of massacres in Wallachia led to the dissemination of propaganda against him by the German community. It explores the effective propaganda campaign used to turn Vlad into a monstrous figure and his later use as a symbol of Romanian nationalism.
