When a baseball player is drafted, you have to negotiate with an agent. There's no such thing as a Nicolette Sheridan in Major League Baseball's draft. NBA tries. They put it in arena. People are screaming and booing. MLB brings it to. It's a caucus. Brings in luminaries from all the 30 teams. Pretending there's phones. Pretends there's conversations going on. All of which are staged. You don't need Roger Goodell in his basement telling Caroline: "All right, do we have your pick?"
