"I think that they were dismissive because i was a mam," she says of police officers. "They treated me very badly, and just like i told them, no, this is basic information." She had to read up on terminology in their reports; some things she didn't understand, she looked it up. 'As a mam, i had to take off my mam emotional robe and put on my investigative mo hat,' she says.
