Police officers commit suicide at a relatively high rate compared to the general population. Half of american homes have guns in, and you have like 95 kids under five who drowndd in in five gallon water buckets. 36 accidental gun deaths in the united states is 36. And even when you look at those 36, about two thirds of those are not shots by other children. They're shots by adult males, usually in their mid to late twenties,. It's illegal for them to own guns. So if i go and pass a gun lock law, i'm not going to affect an adult male criminal who's unlikely to be able to go and obey the law from accidentally firing his gun.
