Gunpowder Plotters - Or Should They Go On?
James's advisers aren't quite sure what to make of the letter. The gunpowder plotters gambled everything on the fact that the privy council and the king would simply put this down to yet another efeu like crank coll. They hope that, because it was an anonymous letter, because there was no signature, because, you know, it was very unspecific. And so the plotters decide to follow through on their own plan.
