What's the Difference Between Truth and Conformity?
Yesso: We want to have beliefs that are strong enough and accurate enough to allow us to act in our interest. And then what about a potalization and conformity? This is a theme that we discuss in the book. In our modelling work, we found that conformist groups often do worse. When people are too conformists, they fail to share new evidence with others. It's a way of kind of bottle necking knowledge at places in our social networks.
