The mosques became the only places where you'd be allowed to meet up in groups and actually vent your grievances about what was going on. The religious leaders had a much greater freedom to speak their mind than other arab nationalists who were more likely to end up missing. Now they're running the risk of making people in all the arab countries in which they're interested stirring to think that maybe they do have a common enemy. If the native americans had been to find some basis to unite under a single banner together, i wouldn't be writing this from los angeles right now. Even with the losses incurred from the europeans gave us enough time without having any overall organizational structure at all
