Caesar's Conquering of the Ocean
The Romans conquered Britain twice in 55 and 54 BC but it's more the getting there that is the victory I would argue indeed most people think what he did the first time around is you would regard it as a failure if it were anyone but Caesar presenting it. He gives us a short ethnography of the Britons they're not Gallic in his view but they're much more closely related to the Gauls than the Germani are even though they're across a much bigger more treacherous body of water. If the Druids need a sort of almost like a workshop they go over to Britannia to retrieve more of their religious knowledge so that's the source of their religious ritual and knowledge.
