The Differences Between Palliative Care and Hospice
Palliative care will have a physician. It will have the advanced practice mid levels. And there is often a social worker and ancillary support from a case manager or an LPN who's doing kind of the orders in the background. The coverage for palliative care is just like if you go to a cardiologist, okay, it's Medicare part B. Now in contrast, hospice is covered by Medicare part A. You have a social worker, a chaplain, nurses that will see the patient two to three times per week.
