How to Overcome Shame in a New Context

In Dubai, an Afghan pastor raised this question of shame with me and said, Jonathan, what do I do? Because if somebody's excommunicated, even if they're in some sense repentant, they're going to feel too ashamed to come back in. You have a great opportunity to help them understand the gospel. So instruct the congregation to receive the repentant brother back. That was only sometimes. But going into a new place was a ton of stuff that I appreciated. There were some things that took longer to figure out how it fit in a new context.
