How to Be a Better Writer After Lightning Strikes
Chris Norburaton was struck while guiding a group of middle school girls for the nonprofit women's wilderness. Chris studied writing in college and the sensory overload following the strike provided the isolation she needed to stick with a project. Her novel has given her something to show for her injury, a story to tell herself that makes sense. She would not go back and like redo, you know, hand my manuscript in and be like, okay, here, you can have this manuscript back and I'll undo the lightning.
