The Future of Labour's Integrity and Ethics Commission
If Labour is in government, what we will do is to introduce a new independent integrity and ethics commission. We would subsume into that the advisory committee on business appointments and the independent advisor as well. So looking at the whole system and making the much more fundamental changes we need - I wish they had done that here. It could have been done in response to many of the reports already, the recommendations being made,. And also signal a far more wholesale determination to clean up our politics which is what we need. But I'm hoping that this one will have, I mentioned before, enforcement and sanctions.
